I first learned about Blue Sky Therapeutic Riding and Respite through my friend Holly of Fig Floral. This year was the third Horses & Hope event I have been involved with but this year was the first time I attended the event. Last year I barely knew anything about Blue Sky when I stepped in to help them with their printing needs for the 2nd Annual Horses & Hope.
I had the honor of working with Blue Sky on the design of the save the date, invitation and program for the 2016 Horses & Hope. Attending the event this year was such an amazing experience. There was delicious food, live music, dancing and lots of awesome items to bid on in the silent auction. The highlight of the night for me was seeing the pure joy and elation on the face each of the Blue Sky Riders when they were awarded a trophy for riding in front of all of us showing off all that they have learned.

Seeing the impact that an organization like Blue Sky has on not only their riders but also on their families first hand makes me proud to be able to help them out in any little way I can!
The design of the save the date and invitation for Horses & Hope was a fun challenge. The theme was Pendleton fabric and I had a blast designing a custom pattern just for this project. I might have gone a little overboard. But I couldn’t resist creating an envelope liner to match the invitation.
Above is the Kevin Deal band performing at Horses and Hope. Of course I had to snag a picture (and maybe a few hydrangeas) of this gorgeous display from Fig Floral, I love when I get to see Holly’s work in person!
I can’t wait to see all of the great things Blue Sky accomplishes this next year. If you’re looking for an organization that changes lives to get involved with be sure to visit the Blue Sky website to find out more about how you can be a part.
