I can’t believe this little man is already one, this past year has flown by! And no, he is not mine, though I would definitely claim him, he is my youngest nephew.

I think, ever since he was born my sister wanted his first birthday party to be a superhero birthday party.  Not any particular superhero, just superhero.  I started with the invitation:

No way could the back be left blank!  Instead we took the pictures my sister had been taking monthly and put them on back starting with a newborn photo all the way up to 11 months.

I’ve done this for several invitations and it is so fun! You literally watch the baby grow up before your eyes.  I love that it makes this invitation more of a keepsake.

Once the invitations were out, I started thinking about decorations and made cupcake wrappers for the first time along with a whole bunch of signs.  Here’s a collection of images from the party:
