KateOGroup launches website for Anne Elizabeth Jewelry

Earlier this summer we had the opportunity to work with a local jewelry maker to design a logo and create a website and blog to showcase her unique hand crafted designs.

Anne and I have known each other since high school and for as long as I can remember, I’ve thought of her as an artist. Jewelry creation is a craft Anne has been honing over the last few years and I loved having the opportunity to help her establish branding and build a WordPress website for Anne Elizabeth Jewelry that is easy for her to update and utilize.

The Anne Elizabeth Jewelry website launched in June and Anne has been busy designing and crafting new creations. She will be at a variety of events across Dallas over the next few months and you can find her pieces at Old Town Mercantile in Coppell, TX. You can also shop Anne’s creations in her Etsy shop.

KateOGroup Launches a new Amazon Outreach Website

Amazon Outreach is a Dallas based mission organization that focuses on the villages along the Amazon River. They organize and facilitate nearly 20 trips every year with teams from all over the country. Amazon Outreach teams dig wells to provide villages with clean water and provide much needed medical care that is otherwise not available to these villagers.

Amazon Outreach was formed in 1999 and I had the opportunity to meet with the amazing people who keep this organization running during the holidays last year. Working with the team to create and launch a new Amazon Outreach website, our goal was for it be a functional tool for them to communicate trip and event information on their own. Because this is a WordPress website the backend is user-friendly and enables them to easily update content and trip information.

KateOGroup Launches a new Barron Custom Design Website

Barron Custom Design is an Austin based home design firm spearheaded by principal Felicia Foster. Working with Felicia on the project was a wonderful experience and we can only imagine working with her on designing your dream home would be an equally amazing experience. Her homes are beautiful and uniquely designed to fit the future home owner and the new Barron Custom Design website showcases the beautiful designs.

Barron Custom Design frequently works with Agave Custom Homes (a website we manage) and Grandview Custom Homes (a website we launched in November of last year). Together they make people’s dreams come true. Here is a glimpse at a few of the homes built based on the floor plans designed by Barron Custom Design:

Warriors Remembered Website Design

Working with Albert J. Nahas, author of Warriors Remembered was an honor. Nahas is a retired Army Colonel who served in Vietnam. In 2002 the idea for Warriors Remembered was born, Nahas then spent six years traveling, researching, photographing and interviewing fellow Vietnam Veterans to compile his finding into a coffee table formatted book. This book includes details of 100 Vietnam Memorials from all 50 states.

This project was a collaboration with Tagged Social Media, a Houston, TX based Outsourced Social Media Company. The existing WordPress website being utilized by Warriors Remembered was in need of updating and additional functionality. The original site was built with the Twenty Eleven WordPress theme that did not allow for the customization required to provide Nahas with the functionality he wanted on the site.

The initial scope of this project included adding a video gallery, reconnecting to social media profiles and most importantly adding a searchable database of the more than 1,000 Vietnam Memorials Nahas has researched over the past decade. Additionally he wanted the capability for visitors to his site to be able to submit information or photos about Memorials already included on his list or provide him with information about Vietnam Memorials he had yet to discover.

To give visitors the ability to search for Vietnam Memorials near them we broke down the list by state and used a clickable map to make this process as easy as possible.

Once a visitor has selected the state they will then be taken to a list like this:

As you can see this list gives visitors the ability to sort this information however they would like.

Kate O Lynch Personal Blog

I started blogging back in December of 2008 as Kate O Lynch, but haven’t always been faithful about keeping it up to date. At the beginning of this year I decided to give my personal blog a facelift. This time around I wanted a layout with a functional sidebar and this was just what I wanted.

I was also excited to add an Instagram gallery to the sidebar. Instagram is one of my favorite iPhone apps, so bringing it to my blog was perfect.

The blog focuses on books, wine, restaurants around Dallas and recipes. As you can see there is quite a variety, but those are all the things I love. You can also follow along with the progress of my recently self-published novel Creative Chaos on the blog.
